Juno's forecast for a Friday morning launch on top of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket calls for a 70 percent chance of acceptable conditions with the primary concern being heavy clouds at the 11:34 a.m. launch time.

NASA Meteorologists are monitoring Tropical Storm Emily this week, but the storm is not expected to reach the Central Florida region until at least Friday night.

The official forecast notes that storm tracks and intensity predictions can shift dramatically over time.  Juno has a 22-day window to launch on its mission to Jupiter.
